#CC3C - Effect Powders

I'm getting this post in at the last minute for the Compendium of Curiosities 3, Challenge 11. All the details are on the lovely Linda Ledbetter's blog and this challenge is being sponsored by Inspiration Emporium.

It's officially Fall and the trees are full of color here in Minnesota. For this challenge I decided that I wanted to make a window card. This is a series of cards that I've created that include a cabinet card frame as the base, corrugated cardstock and a window. I started by die cutting the window from chipboard and then followed the technique instructions on page 52 of Tim's book. Next I cut a bunch of mini branches from kraft-core cardstock and used them to form a wreath. The leaves were cut from manila cardstock then colored with distress inks. Lastly I embossed the edges of the leaves with vintage photo and adhered them to the wreath. Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Hi Deb. I love your "take" on this project! That window looks fantastic and I love the little fall wreath hanging on it. That wreath is so pretty and I can almost feel the gritty texture on it. Such a cute design! The fact that you've used Tim's cabinet card as your base is even neater! I love that with the layer of corrugated paper sandwiched between the cabinet card and the wreath. I also love the "FALL" made out of the alpha tiles. Thanks for joining us at CC3C. <3 Candy
