Fire burn, and cauldron bubble.

I'm back with another creation using new stuff from Tim Holtz for Halloween 2017. For this 4x4 card I used the cauldron from the new Mini Halloween Dies. It's the perfect size for my favorite bird from the Mini Bird Crazy & Things Stamp Set. I also used the new Haunted House Dies and Halloween Remnant Rubs.

Stay tuned, there's more to come. Thanks for stopping by!

4th of July

Hello friends! This weeks challenge over on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog is to create something using one or all of the red, white and blue colors. Since it's the 4th of July I used all the colors on the card below.

I started by creating a flag to cover the front of my card using Tim Holtz patterned paper, kraft-core cardstock and remnant rubs. Next I stamped the dachshund from the Mini Cats & Dogs set on distress watercolor paper and cut out using the corresponding framelits dies. I colored the images with distress ink and pieced together. My patriotic pup needed a balloon so I cut out a piece of antique silver deco sheet using the Mini Bird Crazy & Things framelits dies and attached a piece of heavy blue craft thread. To finish I added the celebrate remnant rub.

So there you have it. Thanks for stopping by and to my friends in the United States, Happy 4th of July!

Halloween is just around the corner

Hello friends! As you can see I've been playing with my crazy stamp sets by Tim Holtz. To create today's card I began by stamping the mini bird, cat and dog several times onto distress watercolor cardstock. Next I used the matching dies to cut out the images and their coordinating parts before coloring with distress ink. The witches hat was cut from a piece of black deco sheet that I attached to kraft cardstock topped off with some black paper string. For the spooky background I used paper from the materialize paper stash, the webs & damask stamp set and gothic remnant rubs.

As always, thanks for stopping by!

Snowglobe

Hello and welcome! I know it's only October but I just couldn't resist using some of my new Tim Holtz goodies. For those of you that don't know me, I've lived in Minnesota all my life. I'm a city girl but have spent many a days in the northern part of this gorgeous state. Today's card is a reflection of the times I've spent up north for this weeks challenge over on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog.

Using stamps from the holiday drawings set I created the first layer of the globe from vellum. For the second layer I colored some manila cardstock with spray stain and then stamped the snowflakes from the christmas nostalgia set. The thin strip at the bottom of the globe was cut from silver deco sheets. For the base I used woodgrain cardstock that was colored with spray stain and ink. Next I added some foliage that I cut from kraft-core cardstock using the mini holiday greens die and topped it off with a number brad. To finish I cut a piece of patterned paper from the tidings paper stash and attached everything to a A2 card.

As always, Thanks for stopping by!

12 Tags of 2016 - July

Hello, hello, hello! Today's project was inspired by this month's tag by Tim Holtz. I used one of my newest stamp sets by Mr Holtz, Crazy Dogs. I'm not sure why I didn't order the Mini Cats & Dogs set at the same time. I think I need to do some more shopping! Thanks for stopping by!
