wicked

Hello and welcome! This week over on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog the design team is challenging us to make a tag and use Tim Holtz products. This tag includes some of Tim's newest stuff. Starting from the top I used the Mummy Cloth, Halloween Story Sticks, Tangled Webs Stamp Set, Ancestors Paper Dolls, Halloween Remnant Rubs and Laboratory Thinlit Dies.

Well that was fun. Onto the next crafty piece. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

catch of the day

Hello and welcome! Today's post is for the latest challenge over on the Frilly and Funkie Blog. The theme is Surf's Up and today is the last day to enter, nothing like waiting until the last minute. For my entry I created a card with a young man, from the newest pack of Paper Dolls, standing on a dock showing off his catch after a day of fishing. To make the dock pilings I used the Planks Die, Woodgrain Cardstock, Distress Inks and Craft Thread. I can't take credit for this design idea, I saw a card that Pete Hughes created on the Sizzix UK Blog recently. The fish is from the Sea Life Stamp Set. I stamped it on a piece of patterned paper, cut it out and then colored it with Distress Inks. For the background I used a piece of patterned paper from the Menagerie Paper Stash that I white washed with Distress Paint and then stamped the script from the Entomology Stamp Set. To finish I attached it all to a kraft card base.

I really like how this card turned out and think it would be perfect to congratulate someone or for Father's Day. Thanks for stopping by!

it's the most wonderful . . .

Hello and welcome! I'm back with another holiday card. I created this one for Linda Coughlin's inspiration challenge "12 Tags of Christmas Funkie Junkie Style". This annual event is sponsored by her store, The Funkie Junkie Boutique. You can get all the details and challenge requirements on this blog post.

My take on Linda's tag for Week #7 was inspired by the her beautiful plaid background and the stamped greeting that she used.

All of my supplies are designed by Tim Holtz. See you soon and thanks for stopping by!

ho ho ho . . .

Hello and welcome! I'm back with my first card for the Christmas season using some new products from Tim Holtz. I used the new Home For The Holidays Dies, Snowglobe #2 Dies, Christmas Paper Stash and Christmas Remnant Rubs. I also added one of the dogs from the Mini Cats and Dogs set because in my brain it fit perfectly into this holiday scene. Right?

I've linked this card to the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog where this weeks theme is "It's A Dogs Life". Thanks for stopping by!

something wicked this way comes.

Hello and welcome! I've been playing with new stuff from Tim Holtz for Halloween 2017 again. On today's card I used the new Cobweb Die, Mini Halloween Things Dies, Halloween Remnant Rubs and Ancestors Paper Dolls. I gotta say I love the witches. So much so I bought another pack, you can never have too many Paper Dolls!

I've uploaded this card to the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. This weeks theme is "A Walk On The Dark Side" and the designers are showcasing Tim Holtz Products. Go check it out. Thanks for stopping by!

october 31.

Hello and welcome! For today's card I used a new die from Tim Holtz called Scarecrow. There are 3 dies in the set, one is the profile of the scarecrow and the other two are crows. I wanted to bring the scarecrow to life so I did a little bit of layering.

First I created a spooky background using Distress Mixed Media Heavystock, Distress Spray Stain and Inks. Next I die-cut the scarecrow from a piece of Substrate Sheet, burlap from the Textured Surfaces collection and a variety of Kraft-Core Cardstock. To create the layers I hand cut the pieces and attached them to the substrate sheet. I used the Mini Halloween 5 Stamp Set and some Craft Thread to make the sign. To add a little sparkle I die-cut the crows from some black Deco Sheet. To finish I added the jack-o-lantern. I made this little guy by cutting one of the Idea-ology Pumpkin Pieces in half, stamped the pumpkin from the Crazy Things Stamp Set on Plain Tissue Wrap, cut out the parts of the face and adhered them to the pumpkin piece.

I hope you enjoyed today's post. I'll be back soon with some more Halloween projects. Thanks for stopping by!

Fire burn, and cauldron bubble.

I'm back with another creation using new stuff from Tim Holtz for Halloween 2017. For this 4x4 card I used the cauldron from the new Mini Halloween Dies. It's the perfect size for my favorite bird from the Mini Bird Crazy & Things Stamp Set. I also used the new Haunted House Dies and Halloween Remnant Rubs.

Stay tuned, there's more to come. Thanks for stopping by!
