12 Tags of 2015 - July

Hello and welcome! This month has flown by, August arrives this weekend. Yikes! With that being said it's time to share my version of this month's tag by Tim Holtz. I went with the patriotic theme like Tim but took a detour with a crazy bird or in this case a free bird. Thanks so much for stopping by!

12 Tags of 2015 - June

Hello and welcome! Todays post is my take on this months tag by Tim Holtz. Before the creativity commenced I started the day with a cup of coffee from my favorite shop. I usually recycle the plastic cover and throw away the stirring stick but not today. I cleaned them up and used them on my tag, they worked perfectly with the Fresh Brewed Die. I made my tag to hold a gift card too, what a great idea Tim! Thanks for stopping by!

Don't cut, just paste!

Hello and welcome! This week is all things paste over on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. For the upcoming 4th of July holiday I wanted to create a mini flag. I started with a 4 inch x 6 inch bare burlap panel and the star of the show, texture paste. Including drying time this project took a couple of hours. I love how it turned out! Hello and welcome! I created today's card for the current challenge over on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. If you're a fan of Tim Holtz you probably noticed that I used some of his new stuff like the alphabet stamp from the Documented Set. I also used Fossilized Amber Distress Paint to color the starfish. Both were perfect for this challenge. Thanks for stopping by!

Due Date

Hello and welcome! There's a new challenge over on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog called Due Date. These words made me think of a new baby and a design idea that I've had rolling around in my head. I began by stamping one of the birds from the Bird Crazy stamp set on a #5 manila tag. I colored the bird with distress inks using a piece of mini ink blending foam. I used the same technique to apply mermaid lagoon distress ink to the background. For the egg I used a die cut oval shape from my stash that I painted and inked. To finish I added a little grass, a bow and one of the new typed tokens. I think the look on this birds face gives you an idea of the day that he's had! Thanks for stopping by!
